“Where has the summer gone” sounds so cliché, but that doesn’t lessen how true that statement feels this particular year. Already, students are preparing to return to school, the leaves in the deciduous trees are starting to turn, and birds are gathering in anticipation of a voyage south.

What I’m Working On
In August, I got back to working on short stories, while continuing to
chip away at my book review to-do list. I’m expecting much the same trend will
continue in September, as I have developed a few story ideas in response to
submission calls for speculative fiction stories.
